8. Mobile App

This section covers the Global Kings Logistics mobile app. It applies in addition to the rest of this policy.

What the app sends to our servers:

• Account data. When you sign up, the app sends your first name, last name, company, country, phone number, email address and password. When you sign in, it sends your email address and password.
• Booking details. The details you enter in a booking, such as the parties and the vehicle and cargo details (for example a VIN), are sent to our servers. The app also reads your bookings, manifests, schedules, tracking and invoices from our servers to show them to you.
• Session. After you sign in, a session ticket is kept in your phone's secure storage. Your name, email address, company and role are kept on the phone so the app can show them. Signing out or deleting your account clears both.

What stays on your phone:

• Camera. The camera is used only to scan VIN and label barcodes. The picture is read on your phone and is never stored or sent. Only the scanned text is put in the field you are filling in.
• Face ID and fingerprint. You can turn on this unlock in Settings. Your phone does the check. The app receives no biometric data.

Service providers that receive limited data:

• Sentry. If the app crashes, a report is sent to Sentry, our service provider for crash reports. It holds the device model, the operating system version and the app version. It does not include your name or email address.
• Expo. The app asks Expo's update server whether a new version of the app is ready. Expo, our service provider for app updates, sees the request as any server would, including your IP address and your phone's platform.

The app has no advertising and no tracking across apps or websites. It does not use your location, contacts or photos. It sends data over HTTPS only.
